[Abeni was angry, upset and generally stressed with the whole situation. The Keep had been bad enough on it's own without the threat of zombies, and coming across her best and only friend battered and bruised had been the icing on the cake. She understood that times had changed and he didn't need her watching his back every second of the day, but the fact that Zachariah had been so badly hurt without her there to fight with him bothered her to no end.
However late in the night it was, Abeni had a message to share with the Keep and the people in it. Aware as she was of the zombie virus, and that people hadn't been acting on their own accord, what happened wouldn't be forgiven so easily.
Picking up her journal, she scrawled a short message.]
If I find out which one of you is responsible for what happened to him, know that I'm coming for you.
[She wouldn't hold back. Riah was one she had killed for in the past, and one she would kill for again. Then again, death meant little in a place where the fallen came back from the grave days later. Abeni would have to think on this, take the situation as it came and work out her options. It was always possible she would never find out what went down that day.
Journal set away, Abeni resumed her late night exploration of the Keep and soon found herself at the thermal pools. There she paused, weighing up whether the water would do her any good in calming down.]
(ooc: holy tl;dr batman. Feel free to reply via journal or to stumble upon Abeni either by or in the pool. Uh. YAY!)

Was my fault. Should have stuck with you. Don't know what I was thinking.
[It was just stupid all around. They're in a new place that they don't know much about. Splitting up is the last thing they should do.]

[There's a lot more going on in her head, and the statement given is really just the tip of the iceberg. Being dead really hasn't sat well with her at all.]
And this isn't Deadworld. You're a grown man with a life of your own. You've ever right to stray without me shadowing you.
[It's a habit she'd been trying to break.]

[It's not Deadworld, but it's not exactly safe either. What makes things worse is that they know even less about this place or its people.]
I would be dead without you.
[Many times over.]
[Commentlog]
Yeah, you saved my ass out there as well.
[It's a compliment, an indirect thank you. She falls silent again.]

[He won't say 'you're welcome'. It's something that just comes natural, like breathing. Every time she needs help he'll be there, and then maybe he can make up for letting her down that one time.]

You think this place is real?
[Commentlog]
The pain sure felt real.
