[Abeni was angry, upset and generally stressed with the whole situation. The Keep had been bad enough on it's own without the threat of zombies, and coming across her best and only friend battered and bruised had been the icing on the cake. She understood that times had changed and he didn't need her watching his back every second of the day, but the fact that Zachariah had been so badly hurt without her there to fight with him bothered her to no end.
However late in the night it was, Abeni had a message to share with the Keep and the people in it. Aware as she was of the zombie virus, and that people hadn't been acting on their own accord, what happened wouldn't be forgiven so easily.
Picking up her journal, she scrawled a short message.]
If I find out which one of you is responsible for what happened to him, know that I'm coming for you.
[She wouldn't hold back. Riah was one she had killed for in the past, and one she would kill for again. Then again, death meant little in a place where the fallen came back from the grave days later. Abeni would have to think on this, take the situation as it came and work out her options. It was always possible she would never find out what went down that day.
Journal set away, Abeni resumed her late night exploration of the Keep and soon found herself at the thermal pools. There she paused, weighing up whether the water would do her any good in calming down.]
(ooc: holy tl;dr batman. Feel free to reply via journal or to stumble upon Abeni either by or in the pool. Uh. YAY!)

So here he is, standing at the edge of one of the pools wondering if it's worth the trouble of getting in.]
[Commentlog]
Shooting him a glance, she offers a small smirk.]
Should you really be up and about?
[There's little scolding in her tone, the comment more light-hearted than usual. He'll live, and that alone is enough to make her feel a bit better.]
[Commentlog]
[That and his dreams are coming at him in full force now. All this death and those zombies are just bringing up memories that should be forgotten. Unfortunately he has nothing to do right now to forget them. Plus, after all that's happened, he's not ready to take his eyes off Abeni's back just yet.]
Can't let go anywhere without backup either.
[That's how this whole thing started remember. He made a stupid decision and took off somewhere without her thinking he could handle himself. Zachariah might have survived five years without her, but that doesn't mean he has to keep trying to do so now that he has her back.
Slowly he sits next to one of the pools, being careful not to hurt himself, and starts to take off his boots. Maybe the water will help him relax.]
[Commentlog]
[The words are a little less focused than usual. Zachariah's last sentence has her back in thought mode. Her expression clouds.]
The pool might do you good. [Pause.] How're you feeling?
[Even in the weeks she's been here, Abeni still fails at simple conversation. She has improved a lot though.]
[Commentlog]
[He chuckles, and then immediately regrets doing so. Stupid healing ribs hurting every time he does something. He might as well be a lump on a log for all he can do around here now.]
Ribs ache. Arm aches. There's a lot of aching going on, but I'll be alright.
[What he doesn't tell her is that this is probably the worst he ever got it. Sure he's been shot, stabbed, beaten, and broken during all those years in Deadworld, but he never got tossed around like a ragdoll by a giant lizard.
After rolling up his pants legs with his good arm, he sticks his feet into the warm water. Oh that's nice.]

[And that's all she'll say on that.]

Are they being treated?
audio
[Sycora has already seen to Riah. Now it's just gonna take time to mend. Abeni pauses.]
You're the one that started this mess, aren't you.

What do you want, kid?
[Abeni isn't snapping. She's just... worn out.]
commentlog :333
I don't want anything, you're were just here when I came out.
commentlog :4
Sorry. Just... tired. I wasn't expecting anyone else over here at this hour.

alskdjksal OH SHIT..... [Audio]
I... I did it...
[Her words are hoarse and whispered, pain constricting her throat. She trembles in fear, thinking of the horrible things this other woman might do. But it was to protect a loved one. Aara deserved it, didn't she? She deserved everything she dished out... and more.]
It was me...
[Tears spill from wide, horrified eyes, but for the most part Aara remains silent. She has shed too many tears the past few days. All this crying has left her feeling oddly empty.]
I'm sorry.
[She knew that would never be enough. She could never take back the pain she caused.]
LMFAOOO 8D [Audio]
And you are?
[There's nothing kind in her tone. Abeni is angry.]
[not!comment]
He's watching youuuuuuuuu.]

^^;;;;;;;;;;;;; [Audio]
I am angha.
[Okay, that didn't really tell her who she was--just what she was.]
I am Aara. I... I named myself. I am a foundling.
[A pause, here. Yep. Aara is still petrified, but she already made her decision.]
I can take another form. One that...is not human. I have not...
I am going to explain what happened. I will let Zachariah... he... he can tell me if...
[A hard swallow, then Aara's scared and hesitant tone turns completely formal.]
I will abide by any and all of his decisions.
[Audio]
[Still demanding answers. Still angry. Still confused.]
He's your friend, isn't he? How the hell do you hurt a friend like that.
[No, Abeni doesn't care how unfair she's being right now. She's the one that got to pick her best and only friend up off the kitchen floor and drag him to the doc, then sat around waiting to hear if he was going to live or die. After everything she's been through the past few years, and all her time with Riah, Abeni had never been so scared in her life.]
